5 E's Example 1 Math Standard Used:  2.OA.1 Students will use addition within 100 using 2-digit numbers in a two-step word problem. Back Roads Adventure: This is something I have taught before, but I would like to try again adding in all the steps in the 5 E's Inquiry Model. 1.  When/for what reasons might you use online lessons with your students? Why? I like the idea of using online lessons for differentiation, collaborating with peers, and allowing students to go at their own pace (even going back to review if it doesn't make sense ).   These lessons also provide students with quick access to websites, videos, and other technology tools to enhance learning and provide ways for students to use critical thinking/deeper learning, as well as offer other creative assessment opportunities.  I feel these lessons would motivate students and offer a different way to learn content.  I would also teach lesson online because it would free up my time to be spent helping struggling students, working closely with my ELL's, and doing group work. 2.  Which model - WebQuest or Hyperdoc - do you prefer? ASSESSMENT BLOG POST Self-Assessment 1. Describe a specific example of how you would use it. For what content would you use it? How would you implement it?      I would use self-assessment following the 10-minute writing portion of the reading recovery lesson.  Although students have me right beside them to guide and assist them during the writing process, the end goal is for them to become independent in some aspects of their writing .  I would use the self-assessment form daily for the students to evaluate themselves on the items they were able to do independently without prompts or helps from me. ( Assessment Questions:  Does my sentence begin with a capital letter?  Did I use my best handwriting? Does my sentence end with a . ? !  Did I use finger spaces between my words?  Does my story make sense? All question are answered with a smiley face, middle face, or frowny face ). 2.
